BACKGROUND: In August 2000, Kat-Katha premiered Her Voice - a collaboration of puppetry and Bharatnatyam by Geeta Chandran for a conference for women from different parts of South Asia under WISCOM (Women In Security,Conflict Management and Peace).
SYNOPSIS: Her Voice was based on the Mahabharata and the famous battle of Kurukshetra seen through the eyes of the protagonist Draupadi to avenge her insult. She lose the battle to the Panadavas alongwith she lost her close relatives, brothers and her sons at the 18 days war. At the end she realize that war brings only loss.
