BACKGROUND Based on Shakespeare`s immortal comedy about twin siblings separated in a sea storm and re-united after many adventures. Cross dressing, love triangles and much chaos are all in this story told with small rod (bunraku style). Puppets and puppeteers are seen as storytellers and actors.
SYNOPSIS The twins Viola and Sebastian set off on a sea voyage but were separated in a storm. Viola is saved by two maids in the island of Illyria, who raised her as Cezario, the pageboy of Duke Orsino. The Duke sends Cezario to woo lady Olivia who is in mourning, on his behalf. But she fell for the pageboy instead. A crazy love triangle follows but in the end there is a twist in the tale………………..

2002 The show premiered at the Ishara Puppet Theatre Festival in September at the Indian Habitat Centre in New Delhi.

2003 Have performed at the Putul Yatra, National Puppet Theatre Festival organised by the Sangeet Natak Akademi in New Delhi in March 2003 and in Lucknow in 2006.
2003 Performed for SPIC-MACAY, Society for the promotion of Indian Culture, Music and Arts Amongst the Youth.
